2010 Syttende Mai Arts and Crafts Fair

Greetings!
It's time again to plan for the 2010 Arts and Crafts Fair at Syttende Mai. We're looking forward to seeing
our old friends and meeting new ones! The Fair will be held this year on Saturday and Sunday, May 15th
and 16th. We will have free coffee each morning for exhibitors, along with homemade cinnamon rolls on
Saturday and kringle from Fosdal's Bakery on Sunday.
Entrants need to sign the application form indicating that at least 50% of the value of their items is due to the artist's effort. We do not accept buy-sell entries or food entries. The registration fee is $125, the same as last year.
We have a limited number of spaces available; you must apply no later than March 10, 2010. Applications will be sorted by postmark date for consideration. Acceptances and denials will be mailed no later than April 1st. A listing of accepted artists will be posted on www.stoughtonwi.com after April 1st

Dates & Times: Saturday, May 15, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Sunday, May 16, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Special Note: Artists are required to exhibit on both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday may be slow during the parade (1:30 PM to 3:00 PM), but it does pick up after 3:00 PM. Please plan on staying open until 4:00!
Location: River Bluff School Campus, 235 N Forrest St, Stoughton, WI (2 blocks north of Main St, at the intersection of North St and 4th St)
This event is held outdoors on the school grounds.
Media: Arts and Crafts that support and accentuate the spirit and intent of the Syttende Mai Folk Festival are desired. Rosemaling, woodcarving, painting, graphics, pottery, sculpture, ceramics, photography, handicrafts, jewelry, weaving, and unique arts and crafts are encouraged. All work must be original in design and execution. All work displayed must be for sale. Artists receive all proceeds from their sales.
Display: Each artist must provide his/her own props, display, and weather protection. Each artist will be responsible for setup, exhibition, and removal of display. Electricity and water are not provided.
Application Process: Spaces are limited and early applications are encouraged. You must include a selfaddressed, stamped envelope, registration fee, and a photo of your work along with the completed application form and tax form. All applications must be postmarked by Monday, March 10, 2010. (If spaces are available, late applications may also be considered.)
Registration Fee: The registration fee is $125.00. Please make checks payable to Syttende Mai Arts Fair.
Spaces and Location: Spaces are available on grass and on asphalt. Please indicate your preference on the application form. You will be notified of your space assignment when you receive your acceptance materials. Spaces are at least 10' by 10 1/2'. Because of high demand for spaces, large or double spaces may not be available.
