May 16-Ted Ceplina-accordions-A friend introduced me to this really talented versatile young professional musician and I knew he would be a guest actually for several programs. He not only performs but he also builds instruments. He has studied making native flutes with a Menomonie Master, and builds a wide variety of instruments in addition to performing on them. This program is going to be a program of accordion music performed on at least 3 different accordions to represent the contrasting styles and music for the instrument. The Austrian, Irish, and Cajun styles will be among those being presented. . The accordion was invented in 1818 and was co-opted by many cultures. The name of this program could be named "The Accordion is Not Just For Polkas Anymore" Come to experience an adventure in International Music Styles
