• Housekeeper

    Stoughton Health has an excellent employment opportunity for a full-time Housekeeper who is detail oriented and desires to be a part of a great infection prevention team. This position works independently cleaning assigned rooms and areas including rooms occupied by patients, visitors, and health care providers. Communicates with Manager and unit staff regarding patient needs. Perform cleaning including trash pickup, dust mopping, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors and sanitizing high touch surfaces. After discharge of patient, responsible for terminal cleaning of rooms including all floors and surfaces including walls, vents, cabinets, drawers, trash cans, toilets, commodes, showers, etc. Manages all non and regulated waste. Cleans and disinfects lavatory fixtures throughout the facility on a routine basis. Maintains supplies in all restrooms in patient rooms and assigned areas including soap and paper for dispensers on a regular basis. Spot clean and dust throughout the facility. Clean windows, wash walls, and perform specialty cleaning. Spot clean carpets, and report floors needing more in depth cleaning, stripping and finish. Report items needing repair. Welcome new team members and demonstrate skills needed to provide for patient and hospital needs. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requires ability to read and write English and interpret measuring and hazard instructions on labels and able to maintain the challenging and physical demands of the job such as standing, walking, stooping, twisting, lifting, bending, pushing, and reaching. Must have basic computer competency skills. Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a healthcare setting is not required however it is desirable.

    * Full-time, Days, 7am-3:30pm, works every 4th weekend, 40 hours per week.
