Registered Nurse - Ortho Team Clinic
Stoughton Health is looking for a full-time RN to work in our Ortho Team clinic. The Orthopedic Clinic RN will coordinate the care that will include the coordination of pre-operative assessment and evaluation; all pre-operative and post-operative education and post-operative follow up. Coordination of care will be performed in collaboration with total joint providers, inpatient nursing and other clinical staff.
The Orthopedic Clinic RN works in collaboration with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants and clinic assistants to plan, direct and evaluate the care provided to patients and their families. The Orthopedic Clinic RN possesses an in-depth understanding of clinic practice in the area of orthopedics.
This expertise ensures that the needs of patients are met throughout the continuum of care. The Orthopedic Clinic RN has daily responsibility for the efficient and timely coordination of patient care, direct patient care, documentation of clinical services and triage. The Orthopedic Clinic RN communicates effectively with all faculty and staff, using tact, discretion and diplomacy, is skilled in problem solving techniques and team development and provides feedback to both staff and administration.
The Orthopedic Clinic RN will also be responsible for occasional clinic coverage based upon patient need.
Qualifications include: Associate's Degree in Nursing, prefer Bachelor's degree. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of WI in good standing. Prefer three years of professional nursing experience and someone with experience in Orthopedics, Ambulatory care setting, and experience with total hip and total knee arthroplasty. BLS certification is required upon hire.
*Full-time, Days, working Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., 32 hours/week, 64 hours bi-weekly, no weekends/holidays.
