Sleep Lab Technologist
Posted: 06/13/2022Under the direction of the Sleep Center Medical Director, performs polysomnograms and other sleep disorders tests. The Sleep Center Technologist is responsible for attaching electrodes and monitors to patients who are participating in a sleep study, monitoring the patient throughout the sleep study and documenting observations, collecting data from various monitors and reporting this information to the physician. The Sleep Center Technologist is also responsible for + pressure titration and oxygen therapy when applicable as well as scoring reports. Need to be comfortable completing 2:1 studies and working with pediatric patients.
Qualifications include: High school graduate or equivalent, Graduate of approved School of Respiratory Therapy or Completion of a Sleep Lab training program. Prefer someone with an Associates Degree and Respiratory Therapist licensure. Also prefer someone with previous sleep center experience. Must be currently Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists. Must have current BLS certification and prefer ACLS certification. Basic Computer competency skills are expected for this position.
*Per Diem/Occasional Hours - Nights, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., variable days of the week, no holidays.Stoughton Health
