17 mile walk starting from Badger Bowl, 506 E. Badger Rd., Madison, WI to Stoughton, Wis. and follows the same route as the Syttende May Run - last 17 miles.

Syttende Mai 17 Mile Walk Entry Fee:
$35 by May 1st
$45 after May 1st

All pre-registrations must be received by 5pm on May 17th; otherwise, you can register at the starting line (Badger Bowl) starting at 5:45am the morning of the event.

Entry Confirmations:  We like to email participants their confirmation instead of sending postcards, so please complete the email portion of the application. If we do not have an email address for you, you will recieve a postcard. Your notification will be mailed after May 10, 2012.  Receiving the email or postcard indicates that you are registered. If you believe you are registered for the wrong event, please email us at syttendemai@gmail.com or call us at 608-438-7912.

Pre race Info:  5:45 - 6:45 a.m., Badger Bowl Parking Lot, 506 East Badger Road, Madison. Packet Pick-up: Walk numbers are to be picked up the morning of the walk. They will be available starting at 5:45am at the walk start/registration area in the Badger Bowl parking lot. Walk #s will not available prior to the morning of the walk. There will be plenty of volunteers available to help with the number pick up process. You must wear the provided walk number on the front of your body to identify you as an official participant.

Race Info:  Walkers may start walking between 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. from Badger Bowl, 506 East Badger Road, Madison. (Parking is available behind Badger Bowl.) Please Note: This is a rolling start and the course will be manned starting at 7:00 a.m. There will be no aid stations or police controlled intersections before 7:00 a.m. This is not a timed walk and no prizes are awarded. Water provided at miles 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 18 and the finish. Gatorade provided at alternate stations. Fruit and refreshments will be available at the finish line until 1 p.m. (For runners and walkers only please!)

Please Note: We will strictly be enforcing the 2 abreast rule and the staying on the left side of the road rules. Please help us be good neighbors and be courteous. We want to continue using this route. Thank you.

Transportation:  Buses will be available for runners and walkers from Mandt Park in Stoughton to Madison starting at 5:30am. The last bus will leave Stoughton at 7:00am to accommodate the 8:00am start time for the 10 mile run.  20 mile runners will want to make sure to take an earlier shuttle to ensure that you arrive in plenty of time for the 7:30am start.  Return buses from Mandt Park in Stoughton to Madison Capitol Square and Badger Bowl only - will depart beginning at 11am with the last bus at 1pm.
