SUMMARY:Inside an Author's Head- at Sons of Norway
DESCRIPTION:Sons of Norway- Mandt Lodge will host "Inside an author's head" with Ann Rouse (aka Annie Jacobsen) at their Wednesday\, June 12\, meeting. The program will begin at 7:00 PM and will be held at Sons of Norway\, 317 South Page Street in Stoughton. Come join us for a journey "Inside an Author's Head." Annie Jacobsen will guide you on a journey of creative inspiration\, storytelling\, and the 'How To\," of self-publishing." Annie grew up in Stoughton. As a young child\, she lived upstairs of her Norwegian grandparents Ted and Tonette Jacobsen\, learning to love all things Norske. She rode in many parades on the Sons of Norway floats and attended church in this very building! She graduated from SHS\, acquired her BA at UW- Eau Claire\, and her Masters in Communication Disorders from the UW- Madison. After college\, she returned home and taught in Stoughton for 32 years. During the time nearing Syttende Mai each year\, she team- taught many units on Norwegian Folklore and traditions. This naturally led her to creating her own stories that were original and /or based on the old stories\, but with more child-friendly endings. Please contact Darlene Arneson at arnesonfamily5@gmail.com or 608-873-7209 for more information. Mandt Lodge is handicapped accessible with a lift located on the south side of the building. There is parking on the street\, public parking lot behind the Stoughton Senior Center\, or in the Livsreise parking lot if their building is closed. We encourage you to bring donations for the Stoughton Food Pantry! The public is always welcome at Mandt Lodge!
