SUMMARY:Relay For Life of Stoughton-McFarland-Oregon
DESCRIPTION:The Relay For Life of Dane and Rock Counties (formerly Stoughton-McFarland-Oregon) is having their 2022 event in-person. Join the Relay For Life of Dane and Rock Counties on Saturday\, August 20 at Mandt Park at Mandt Park located at 400 Mandt Parkway in Stoughton. We will be a part of the Stoughton Coffee Break Festival during the day from 9:00 am- 3:00 pm.\n\n\n\nThis year's theme is "Relaying through the Decades" and teams have been selecting a decade for\n\ntheir campsites\, attire\, and other fun activities! There will be a Best Dressed Contest for kids and\n\nadults\, a dance contest\, and a hula hoop contest for those who are interested.\n\n\n\nThe teams will be setting up their campsites right after Coffee Break and food will be available. The\n\nRock County All-In Team will offer pork sandwiches\, chips and pop starting at 5:15 PM. The Opening\n\nCeremonies will be held at 6 PM and include speakers Dr. Aaron Schwaab of Stoughton Health\n\nspeaking about breast cancer and an ACS funded researcher from Madison. We will have the Girl\n\nScouts present the flags\, music by the St. Ann's Choir\, be recognizing our sponsors\, Event\n\nLeadership Team\, and teams. The Survivor's Lap and Caregiver's Lap will follow the Opening\n\nCeremonies. The kid's games and best dressed contests will begin at 6:45 PM\, followed by the\n\nAdult's best dressed and dance contest\, and then a hula-hoop contest will be held at 7:45 PM. We\n\nwill have some hula hoops there or you can bring your own!\n\n\n\nThe Luminaria Ceremony will be held at 8:15 PM and time afterwards will be given to those wanting\n\nto walk and take in the bags and reflecting on loved ones touched by cancer. The Closing\n\nCeremonies will be held at 9:15 PM.\n\n\n\nCurrently\, the Relay has sixteen teams signed up from Dane and Rock Counties. The name was\n\nchanged this year as we welcomed teams from DeForest\, Janesville\, and Sun Prairie to our event.\n\nThank you to our sponsors for the event.
