SUMMARY:Sons of Norway Norwegian Folklore Program
DESCRIPTION:Sons of Norway- Mandt Lodge welcomes the public to a Norwegian Folklore program on Wednesday\, May 8\, 7:00 PM\, at Sons of Norway- 317 South Page Street\, in Stoughton.\n\n\n\nStories are one of the inspirations in times of celebration and turmoil. We look to them for morals\, solutions\, and levity. Norwegians turned to nature to gather their stories\, especially the trolls. This presentation looks at Norwegian and Danish storytellers and collectors that our ancestors turned to and the stories they told. Presenter Eleanor Brinsko is a genealogist in the Madison area. She has presented workshops for the Wisconsin Historical Society and other history and genealogy societies and libraries across the country.\n\n\n\nRefreshments will be served! Everyone is welcome and no reservations needed! Please contact Darlene Arneson at arnesonfamily5@gmail.com or 608-873-7209 for more information. Mandt Lodge is handicapped accessible with a lift located on the south side of the building. There is parking on the street\, public parking lot behind the Stoughton Senior Center\, or in the Livsreise parking lot if their building is closed. We always encourage you to bring donations for the Stoughton Food Pantry! The public is always welcome at Mandt Lodge!
