SUMMARY:Sons of Norway- Peter Herman Program
DESCRIPTION:Sons of Norway-Mandt Lodge will host an Evening with Peter Herman on Wednesday\, April 13\, at 7 PM. The lodge is located at 317 South Page Street in Stoughton\, WI. Peter's presentation entitled Landscape Photography focused on images from Stoughton-area and Norwegian-settled areas of North Dakota is open to the public. Peter Herman was born and raised on a farm in North Dakota. Peter will share his journey as a photographer and discuss "tools of the trade"\, along with a few words on his photo post-processing/editing philosophy. He will display and discuss photographs selected from his portfolio focused on four general categories. They include images shot in and around Stoughton\, photos from areas of North Dakota where Norwegians heavily settled (direct immigrants from Norway plus many from WI\, MN\, etc.) especially highlighting some the historical abandoned farm homesteads and Norwegian Lutheran churches that dot the rural landscape\, "abstract/impressionist" work\, and a few examples of photography in the infrared spectrum. Please contact Darlene Arneson at arnesonfamily5@gmail.com or 608-873-7209 for more information. Mandt Lodge is handicapped accessible with a lift located on the south side of the building. There is parking on the street\, public parking lot behind the Stoughton Senior Center\, or in the Livsreise parking lot if their building is closed. We always encourage you to bring donations for the Stoughton Food Pantry! The public is always welcome at Mandt Lodge!
