SUMMARY:World Knit in Public Day with Spry Whimsy
DESCRIPTION:Join Spry Whimsy Fiber Arts on June 12th for Worldwide Knit in Public Day- right here at Rotary Park in Stoughton\, Wisconsin from 8am to 3pm!\n \n\nOn June 12\, all over Norway - Walk & Knit contests will be held by organizers from A Knit Story! Spry Whimsy Fiber Arts will be their first location in the United States! \n \n\nEach participant will be asked to knit as many rows as they can in 10 minutes\, while walking around a short course. There is no stopping - and no running - just walking!. At the end of the 10 minutes\, everyone stops and knitting samples are judged. \n \n\nEach participant receives points for the number of rows completed. Points are reduced for any mistakes. The individuals with the most points win the prizes.\n \n\nAdditionally\, participants will be competing against folks from over 30 locations around Norway. At 1pm Central time\, Norway will go LIVE on Facebook to announce the international winner! Door prizes will be drawn throughout the afternoon\, thanks to yarn suppliers - Berroco\, Cascade\, KFI and Universal.\n \n\nStine Sofies Stiftelse is a Norway-based children's rights charity formed to give support to victims of child abuse or other forms of violence towards children. It also works towards assisting the abused child and their relatives\, as well as campaigning and influencing the authorities to strengthen the rule of law and due process for children on a national level!
