Patient Financial Services Representative
Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Patient Financial Services Representative to join our team on a Full-Time basis.
The Patient Financial Services Representative (PFS Rep) is responsible for accurate billing related to inpatient and outpatient services at Stoughton Health. Serves as an intermediary with insurance agencies and customers and is responsible for creating a positive service impression to patients of Stoughton Health.Essential Functions:
- Processes patient bills in a timely fashion with all payers and patients to ensure prompt billing service on open accounts
- Accurately accumulates information and data
- Responds to all inquiries promptly
- Provides accurate and friendly assistance to patients or family members with billing and insurance questions
- Good telephone/communication skills
- Good time management skills
Position Requirements:- Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Preferred: Associate’s Degree
- Special Requirements: Ability to perform clerical duties including typing and entering data is required. Experience in processing medical insurance claims and one year experience in hospital billing is preferred.
- Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills- Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas, and prepare applicable charts for reports
Work Shift:
- Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
- 40 hours per week
- Scheduled Days: Monday - Friday
- Scheduled Shift: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- No Weekends
- No Holidays

Work Environment:
This position is a hybrid role that can be in-person at the Stoughton Hospital location or remote.
