Stoughton Health has an exciting opportunity for an ED Tech to work full-time in our Emergency Department. The ED Tech is responsible for administering direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The ED Tech responds to the clinical and service needs of patients and their families. They perform patient age-specific physical, psychological and social data collections, shares abnormal data with RN, MD or PA and performs duties in relation to data collection as directed by RN, MD or PA. This position also performs general clerical duties in the smooth operation of the Emergency department. This role will also function as a Health Unit Coordinator in the department.

Qualifications include: High school Graduate or Equivalent with successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant training program or an EMT-I training course. High school Graduate or Equivalent. Must be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of WI in good standing or an EMT-I. Prefer previous experience in a healthcare setting or hospital setting. Current BLS certification is also required. Prefer someone with IV skills, EKG and blood draw experience. Basic Computer competency skills are expected for this position. Completion of Post High School Vocational/Specialized training is preferred.

*Full-time, Days/PM's, 11 a.m. - 11 p.m., 30 hours/week, 60 hours bi-weekly, every fourth weekend rotation and every 3rd holiday rotation.
