Health Unit Coordinator- Emergency Room
Stoughton Health has an excellent employment opportunity for a full-time Health Unit Coordinator to work in the Emergency department.
The Health Unit Coordinator is responsible for clerical coordination of the unit. Examples of duties include preparing and maintaining files of medical records, answering phones and triaging phone calls to professional staff, managing supplies and assisting staff in getting their needs met to do their jobs.
Qualifications include: High school Graduate or Equivalent, Prefer completion of Post High School Vocational/Specialized training. Previous clerical experience is preferred as well as experience with Epic. Also prefer similar or related experience in a healthcare setting. CNA experience is a plus. Requires non-violent crisis intervention training-every two years on a rolling calendar.
Basic Computer competency skills are expected for this position. All Stoughton Hospital employees have e-mail access and many use a PC to send and retrieve work e-mail; reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements. This position also requires Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
*Full-time, Nights, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., variable days, 60 hours bi-weekly, every 4th weekend and every 3rd holiday rotation.
