|The clinic scheduler is responsible for welcoming visitors and patients to the clinic and obtaining necessary information from them before they see the provider.
They will perform reception, registration, and secretarial functions in support of the daily operations of the clinic while functioning as the primary communication source in the unit. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of front office duties including reception, answering the phone, patient scheduling, registration, work queues referrals, reviewing Mychart and monitoring incoming and outgoing mail. Candidate will be entering insurance information, scheduling maintenance, posting payments related to patient copay, cash reconciliation/balancing related to copay. In addition, candidate will review Ortho PatientPop website and contact, schedule, and follow up with patients. The combination of these functions will be determined by the manager to meet the needs of the clinic. This position may require travel between Specialty Clinic sites.
Qualifications include: High school Graduate or Equivalent.
Prefer someone with completion of Post High School Vocational/Specialized training. Previous clerical experience in Multi-Specialty clinics is preferred as well as knowledge of medical terminology. Also prefer similar or related experience in a healthcare setting and Epic System. Intermediate computer competency skills are expected for this position.
