As part of the lead-up to Syttende Mai, Livsreise welcomes back Terje M. Joranger, Ph.D. for his 3rd presentation. He is the director of research at the Norwegian Emigrant Museum in Hedmark County Norway and professor of history at Inland University with campuses throughout east-central Norway. This presentation will center on his current research about identity formulation among Norwegian immigrants in the Upper Midwest. One study area is Blue Mounds, Wisconsin in Dane County. The other area is the southern and western part of Pope County, Minnesota. Both areas are branded as “Norwegian” today. This is a Live Presentation in the Livsreise -Norwegian Heritage Center Auditorium.
