"Such Anxious Hours: Wisconsin Women's Voices from the Civil War" provides the history of the Wisconsin Civil War home front in the voices of eight Wisconsin women. Presented by Stoughton resident, Jo Ann Daly Carr, this program will introduce participants to the challenges and contributions of Wisconsin women during the four years of this horrendous war. Jo Ann will share the stories of these women, ranging in age from eighteen to forty-three, as they supported the soldiers at the battle front, bore increased responsibilities for farms and families, and survived unimaginable loss. Copies of the University of Wisconsin Press book, "Such Anxious Hours" will be available for purchase and signing.
