• Registered Nurse - Weekender On-Call

    Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for an OR Circulator/PACU Registered Nurse in an On-Call Weekender position.
    The registered nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units. The RN maintains accountability for their own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.

    Essential Functions:

    • Ability to perform essential functions of a Registered Nurse including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, and evaluation
    • Effectively enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices
    • Maintains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practices
    • Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues
    • Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
    • Integrates research findings into clinical practice


    Position Requirements:

    • Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
    • Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing
    • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
    • Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing
    • Professional Experience: Requires 1 year of relevant nursing experience
    • Required Certification: Current BLS certification at hire, ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
    • Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar
    • Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
    • Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

    Work Shift:

    • Weekends On Call
    • 64 hours per week
    • On-Call Days: Friday 3:00 pm thru Monday 7:00 am
    • Weekend on-call pay: $10 per hour
    • Weekend worked hours: 1 ½ of base pay
    • Base pay for any additional shifts
    • Four weekends off per year
