Ken Valdovinos is a veteran Marine who served in Vietnam from October 1966 to October 1967. Although he sustained an injury that earned a purple heart, he was able to finish his duty and return safely home. During his tour, he took about 170 photos documenting his experiences and the everyday life around him. They are not combat related, but of the environment, the people he encountered, and friends he made.
