Some of the events covered in this presentation are: the attack on Pearl Harbor, the capture of US POW No 1 (Kazuo Sakamaki), the Janesville 99 - a tank company from Janesville, WI that took part in the Bataan Peninsula battle and the infamous Bataan death march, the dropping of the nuclear bombs "Little Boy" and "Fat Man" on Hiroshima and Nagasaki leading directly to the end of WWII, the euphoric celebration of VJ Day (Aug 15th, 1945), and the infamous celebratory sailor/nurse "KISS" in NY city.
