Stoughton Health is looking for a Medical Assistant/LPN to join our Ortho Clinic on a Part-Time basis working in a medical office environment.  The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing supportive patient care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician in accordance with policies and procedures of the practice. This includes answering phone calls and emails, collecting and recording patient information and vital signs, assisting physicians with patient examinations and procedures, prepping injections or medications as directed by physicians,  entering patient information into medical records, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing instruments in accordance with practice policies. Stock rooms in preparation for the daily work schedule. Takes inventory of medical and exam room supplies.

Qualifications include: High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Vocational Training Program or equivalent relevant work experience in lieu of education, OR an EMT-I training course. Requires previous experience in a healthcare setting. Prefer prior experience in a clinic setting. Prefer licensure as a Certified Medical Assistant or EMT-I, however it's not required. LPN licensure if applicable. Must have current BLS certification and Non-violent crisis intervention training is required every two years on a rolling calendar. 

Advance knowledge of working with electronic health records required. All Stoughton Hospital employees have e-mail access and many use a PC to send and retrieve work e-mail; reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.

*56 hours bi-weekly, 3 work days between Monday - Friday , 8am - 4:30pm. No Weekends or Holidays.
