Medical Lab Technician
Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Medical Lab Technician to join our team on a Per-Diem basis.
The Medical Lab Technician is responsible for specimen collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical laboratory results in accordance with established standards.Essential Functions:
- Collection of blood and other specimens from adult, pediatric, and infant patients in accordance with hospital procedures
- Performs clerical duties for the Laboratory
- Performs skilled laboratory procedures, operates all equipment, and reports results in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Participates in the implementation of the quality assurance programs
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Position Requirements:- Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician
- Licensure: Current MLT, CLT, ASCP Certification
- Certification: Current BLS at hire
- Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position.
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills – Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas and prepare charts for reports
Work Shift:
- Per Diem, .01 FTE
- Minimum of 2 shifts per month
