• Surgical Services Manager

    Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Surgical Services Manager to join our team on a Full-Time basis.
    The Surgical Services Manager is a full-time, salaried managerial position with 24-hour accountability for assurance of quality patient care within the Surgical Services department.  The Surgical Services Manager supports a collaborative approach to patient-centered care through management of a multidisciplinary team inclusive of staff nurses, operating room technicians and central service technicians. The position has responsibility for direct liaison with the medical staff.  This position works cooperatively with nurse anesthetists and the Chief of Surgery.  The position further plays an integral role with the Patient Services management team and is key in the implementation of strategic planning.  The Surgical Services Manager is responsible for the development, maintenance, and implementation of all regulatory standards within the Surgical Services department.  This position further assures personnel are competent to participate in infection monitoring, prevention, and control activities.


    Position Requirements:

    • Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
    • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)
    • Professional Experience: Have 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years’ experience and/or additional educational preparation in management. Prefer someone with previous Operating Room experience.
    • Licensure: Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
    • Certification: Current BLS certification at hire
    • Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
    • Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills - Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas and prepare charts for reports.
    • Work Shift:
    • Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
    • 40 hours per week
    • Scheduled Days: Monday – Friday
    • Hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm or 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
